JUGO JUICE SQUEEZES INTO TORONTO

Calgary-based Jugo Juice has opened its first location in Toronto. Operating in high traffic, street level and food court locations, Jugo Juice serves made-to-order smoothies and fresh-pressed juices. The company's new Toronto store, located in the TD Centre, is the first of four scheduled to open this summer. In total 40 to 50 stores are planned for the Greater Toronto Area in the next three years. Jugo is the Spanish word for juice. The company was founded by two former Starbucks managers in Calgary in 1998. Earlier this year Jugo Juice expanded into British Columbia where it opened four locations. The recently-opened Toronto store is the company's first expansion into eastern Canada. A public relations campaign from Edelman Public Relations of Toronto is promoting the chain's arrival in Toronto.
