ANDERSON OPENS SAN FRANCISCO OFFICE

Toronto-based health and lifestyle agency Anderson has opened the doors of Anderson DDB in San Francisco. The agency, which is part of DDB Group Canada, also has locations in Toronto, Montreal and New York. The San Francisco office was established to service the LifeScan Inc. account, awarded to the agency earlier this year. Michael Ling is heading the office as senior group account director. LifeScan makes blood glucose monitoring products for people with diabetes. The San Francisco office, working with Anderson of Toronto, is in the process of launching the first campaign for LifeScan in both Canada and the U.S. Targeting diabetics, the "One Touch" campaign will promote LifeScan's One Touch Ultra Blood Glucose Monitoring device which allows diabetics to test their blood sugar levels on their arms rather than through the traditional fingertip method. The direct-to-consumer advertising features blues artist and diabetic B.B. King. Television advertising in the U.S. will be supported with print and direct mail executions. The campaign's tagline is "One touch changes everything."
