CONCERNED CHILDREN'S ADVERTISERS ENCOURAGES KIDS TO STAY FIT
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Concerned Children's Advertisers will debut three new television commercials next month which encourage kids to get active and stay active. The 30-second public service announcements will run during children's and family programming, targeting kids eight to ten years-of-age as well as their families. The spots illustrate everyday situations involving physical activity. "The Chase" depicts a boy running from an unknown source, which is revealed to be three girls chasing him. As he tires, the girls catch up with him and begin planting kisses on his cheeks. "Ice Cream" depicts an ice cream truck driving down a street. A group of kids chases the truck but are not fast enough to catch up with it. "Blown Away" shows a boy coming out of a convenience store with a pack of cards. As he discovers the one card he needs to complete his collection, the wind whisks it out of his hand causing him to run after it. Each spot ends with the tagline, "Stay fit, 'cause you never know." The series was created pro bono by Cossette Communication-Marketing and produced by Blink Pictures.
