GOOD HUMOR-BREYERS STICKS IT TO CANADIANS THIS SUMMER

Good Humor-Breyers of Oakville, ON is promoting its new "all natural" ice cream bar on a stick for the summer season. The bar comes in three flavours: vanilla with milk chocolate, milk chocolate with almonds and maple with walnuts. A television and print advertising campaign using the slogan "We could all use a little more natural," is promoting the new product. The campaign, created by MacLaren McCann, has been designed to reinforce the brand's "all natural" qualities. Television advertising, breaking today, depicts a woman eating a bar on a stick during a moment of mental escape. As she finishes she is brought back to the reality of a noisy city. Magazine ads place an image of a busy city beside one of a relaxed women eating ice cream on a stick. The tagline is "Civilization can get by without you for 15 minutes." Packaging for Breyers new ice cream bar on a stick was created by Brandid, a division of MacLaren McCann. Public relations are being handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide of Toronto. Breyers' ice cream on a stick is sold in major grocery outlets and in sporting venues including the Air Canada Centre and Skydome in Toronto, the Saddledome in Calgary, Winnipeg's Global Park and St. John's Harbour Station.
