MICROFORUM CUTS STAFF
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Microforum has released details of a cost reduction program that will see the company reduce its workforce by more than 30 per cent. The staff cuts follow the sale earlier this year of Microforum's public relations and advertising divisions Marshall Fenn and Two Door Communications and its announced intention to sell its strategic marketing division PPL Marketing. According to Microforum, these divisions were sold to allow the company to focus on its software products and Internet solutions. In addition to the job cuts, which will take place over the next eight weeks, Microforum has also closed its New York office.
