TRANSCONTINENTAL MEDIA LAUNCHES WOMEN'S WEB SITE

Montreal-based Transcontinental Media marked Mother's Day yesterday with the launch of its new English and French MochaSofa.ca and MokaSofa.ca Web sites. The two sites target "swamped" Canadian women who are juggling careers and families. Information is presented in seven channels: Health & Wellness, Family & Relationships, Work & Money, Food & Entertainment, Fashion & Beauty, Leisure & Pastimes, and Home & Garden. Original content is combined with information from Transcontinental's women's magazines Canadian Living, Homemaker's and Style At Home. Initial advertisers on the sites include Clairol l'image hair colour, Hostess Frito-Lay Tostitos tortilla chips, Allstate Canada, Delta Hotels, EMI Music Canada and Shiseido cosmetics. The launch of the sites is being supported with public relations from Temple Scott Associates of Toronto and Opsis Communications and Marketing of Montreal.
