By Adnews Staff
Brampton, ON-based retailer Zellers is raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis research by selling the moon. This month Canadians can purchase an acre of land on the moon for $20, half of which will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Moon land sales will be available on <http://www.hbc.com> until May 27 and will be promoted through Zellers weekly circular and with media relations from Toronto-based Harbinger. The sales are being held in partnership with the Moon Land Registry of Chatham, ON, which, according to a release, "holds the exclusive rights for celestial property resale to Canadians." The retailer will also run its annual Moonwalk walk-a-thon on May 27 in 75 communities across Canada. The Moonwalk will be promoted with radio and television public service announcements from Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto.
