GLOBEANDMAIL.COM PROMOTES SITE FEATURES

An eight-week multi-media campaign for the Globeandmail.com began running this week promoting the news Web site's content and currency in covering events. Radio, print and 10-second television ads are running in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa and Calgary targeting readers of the national newspaper as well as non-readers. A mobile billboard campaign through Motomedia Advertising of Woodbridge, ON is also running for roughly two months in Vancouver, Ottawa and Calgary. The creative features the URL "globeandmail.com" and the texts "Current events that are actually current" or "Quick, the market is up. Wait...never mind." An interactive component for the campaign is also under development. Advertising for Globeandmail.com is done by BBDO of Toronto. Media is handled by OMD. Both of these companies are based in Toronto.
