New York-based Bolt Inc. has partnered with Telus Mobility in an effort to expand its Canadian presence. Bolt, which operates an Internet communications system aimed at young adults 15- to 24-years-of-age, currently has 300,000 Canadian members. Young customers on Telus Mobility's PCS and Mike networks will now be able to access Bolt's tools "Bolt Clubs," "Bolt Notes," "Friend Match" and "Honey Finder" using Web-enabled mobile phones. "A larger part of our client base registered for Wireless Web services are young adults, and our partnership with Bolt will allow us to offer those clients access to a variety of fun and interactive applications geared toward their interests," said Robert Blumenthal, vice-president of wireless internet services for Telus Mobility. In addition to Canada and the U.S., Bolt has sites in the United Kingdom and Australia.
