LABATT PETITIONS FOR JUNE LONG WEEKEND

Labatt Breweries of Canada has begun collecting signatures petitioning for a new long weekend in June. The move is part of the breweries' Blue Light "Free Your Time" television advertising campaign which began running during the Oscars on March 25. The petition was kicked-off at the beginning of April by Blue Light and the Time Liberation Front, an organization portrayed in the campaign's television creative. To date more than 46,000 Ontario residents have signed the petition. Members of TLF will continue to gather signatures in Ontario over the next three weeks. Consumers can also visit <http://www.freeyourtime.ca> and sign an online petition lobbying the Ontario government for the June long weekend. The Labatt Blue Light "Free Your Time" campaign was created by advertising agency Ammirati Puris of Toronto and will run for the summer. SFX Events is handling the petition campaign and Weber Shandwick Worldwide is providing public relations support.
