GIANT TIGER SPOTTED IN MANITOBA

The North West Company, based in Winnipeg, will open the first Giant Tiger family discount store in that province this June. The store is the first in a new agreement between NWC and Giant Tigers Stores Limited of Ottawa. NWC has signed a master franchise agreement which grants the company exclusive rights to operate Giant Tiger franchise stores in Western Canada. Currently, Giant Tiger Stores Limited operates 98 stores in Ontario and Quebec. The chain offers customers fashions, food and seasonal merchandise, footwear, home decorating items, groceries, frozen food, dairy products, toys and health and beauty supplies. NWC stores operate under the Northern and NorthMart banners, providing products and services to northern communities.
