PLATESPIN SIGNS HIGH ROAD

Toronto-based software company PlateSpin Inc. has named High Road Communications its first public relations agency of record. The North American account will be led by High Road's Toronto office with support from the agency's San Francisco location. "Our executive team has had considerable experience with a variety of PR agencies over the years, so we were very clear about what we were looking for in a strategic PR firm for PlateSpin," president and chief executive Mark Verdun said. High Road was awarded the account based on previous working relationships between agency and PlateSpin executives. The agency's local office and Toronto presence coupled with its U.S. reach also attracted the company, said High Road vice-president Monta Kerr-Johnson. The company joins Auxcis, Pivotal and Kyberpass on the client roster of High Road's B2B and e-Business Software practice group. High Road first project for PlateSpin was the public relations surrounding a funding announcement the company made late last month.
