HOLMES AND LEE ESTABLISHES PRESCIENT MEDIA
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Holmes and Lee has established Prescient Media, a new wholly-owned division that is designed to complement the agency's existing communications business. Prescient will observe and examine the future of the communications industry and work to create new business opportunities within it. The company's name, Prescient, means having foreknowledge or foresight, explained John Lee, president of Holmes & Lee. Brian Steinhauser will head up Prescient as director, interactive. Prior to joining Prescient, he was the business development manager at Operex. "Along with the full Web design/build gamut, our goal is to come up with innovative ways for our clients to benefit from the Web and for us to help them rethink the whole Web experience," he said. The company has already begun working on a number of projects including the online relaunch of Sound Source Radio Networks and the development of The Revelstoke Canadian Spiced Whisky site. The launch of Prescient Media follows the establishment of Holmes and Lee's design company, Sisu, which launched last summer.
