BATTY TO DRIVE FORD OF CANADA

Alain Batty has been appointed president and chief executive of Oakville, Ontario-based Ford Motor Company of Canada Limited, effective April 2, 2001. He replaces Bobbie Gaunt, who retired last year. Batty's most recent position was president of Ford Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
