RICOH NAME TO APPEAR ON COLISEUM

Toronto-based Ricoh Canada Inc. has bought the corporate naming rights for the Coliseum located at Exhibition Place in Toronto. The supplier of office automation equipment will pay $1 million a year for ten years to have its name on the 79-year-old venue. The Ricoh Coliseum will be home to the International Hockey League's Toronto Roadrunners. The building will undergo $32 million in interior renovations before its re-opening in October 2002 including the addition of 11,550 seats, 37 corporate suites, installation of a new sound and lighting system, restaurant, sports bar and club lounge. In addition to serving as home to the Roadrunners, the Ricoh Coliseum will also host the Royal Winter Fair as well as other events such as concerts, consumer trade shows and equestrian exhibitions throughout the year. It has also been included in the Toronto 2008 Olympic bid. Public relations for Ricoh Canada are handled by Recognition Strategic Marketing Communications of Toronto.
