MITSUBISHI PULLS INTO CANADIAN MARKET

Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc., based in Cypress, CA, has announced it will enter the Canadian market in 2003. Mitsubishi Motors Sales of Canada will be based in the Greater Toronto Area with dealerships located across the country. The Canadian operation will sell the same models Mitsubishi Motors sells in the United States including the Eclipse, Eclipse Spyder, Montero, Montero Sport, Diamante, Galant, Mirage and Lancer. Advertising for Mitsubishi in Canada will be handled by Deutsch. The agency's Los Angeles office handles advertising for Mitsubishi in the U.S. Public relations, handled by Fleishman-Hillard in the U.S., will be handled by that agency's Canadian counterpart Fleishman-Hillard Canada of Toronto.
