QUICKEN.CA PROMOTES REDESIGNED WEB SITE

A new national advertising campaign is intended to promote personal finance and investment Web site Quicken.ca's dedication to the success of those who use it. Operated by Rogers iMedia under an exclusive licence from Intuit Canada Limited, the Web site was recently redesigned. The new site groups tools and information into channels such as Investing, Taxes, and Banking & Credit in an effort to present a cleaner site that is easier to navigate. According to Quicken.ca, users "snorkel" rather than "surf" through its channels until they find the area they want to dive into. Another new feature on the site is the Power Portfolio, a downloadable application that allows users to manipulate their portfolios from their desktops. Newspaper and transit advertising, created by Toronto's Fresh Advertising, is promoting the redesign of the site. Initial executions in the campaign focus on the Power Portfolio tool. Additional advertising will follow promoting other new tools. The image of a man's face, from the nose up, with the tagline "Dedicated to your success," will be included in future executions. Public relations for the site's relaunch are being handled by Apex Public Relations of Toronto.
