ABC HAILS TAXI WITH JOYCE HONOUR, BREAKS NEW TV EFFORT

ABC Canada Literacy Foundation has awarded its fifth Joyce award to Taxi Advertising. The agency was honoured for its work on ABC's literacy awareness campaign which ran last fall. The Joyce Fairbaim Literacy Public Awareness Award is presented annually by ABC Canada to recognize private sector supporters of literacy awareness. Taxi will continue its efforts this year with a new television campaign. While the previous initiative aimed to create awareness with the general public, the new television campaign will encourage people with low literacy skills to enroll in upgrading programs. The national effort breaks this month. ABC Canada will work with the Canadian Cable Television Association to distribute the television PSA to stations across Canada.
