ROGERS@HOME SINGING "99 BOTTLES OF BEER" TUNE

Continuing with its "Stop waiting. Start surfing" theme, Rogers Communications has launched a new television commercial entitled "99 Bottles of Beer" to promote its Rogers@Home Internet service. The spot was created by MacLaren McCann of Toronto and features a number of individuals singing the song as they sit and wait for their computers to dial up. Bob Goulart, vice-president and group creative director at MacLaren McCann, said the execution speaks to everyone on the Internet, relating more to people with dial up access. Goulart and vice-president and group creative director Dave Hamilton were the creative team behind the spot. The commercial will run on an ongoing basis as part of the Rogers@Home campaign. The "Stop Waiting. Start Surfing" tagline was first introduced in Rogers@Home's Rigor Mortis campaign, also from MacLaren McCann, that launched last year.
