MOLSON BECOMES EXPOS TEAM PLAYER
By Adnews Staff
The Montreal Expos announced Montreal-based Molson will be the team's title sponsor for the 2001 season. The one-year partnership agreement includes an option for the 2002 season as well. Under the terms of the agreement, Molson's flagship brand Molson Export will become the principal beer served in the Olympic Stadium and will have significant signage throughout the stadium. Molson will also be the title sponsor for the team's broadcasts. Expos' games are scheduled to air on the TSN and RDS television networks as well as on the radio station CKAC. A section of Olympic Stadium will also be home to the Molson Ex Zone, an in-stadium venue that features special promotions, animators and specially-priced items. The Molson Ex Zone will operate for 48 games on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and Thursdays after July 5. The Molson Ex Zone will be expanded during "Molson Ex Zone Super Weekends" June 15 to 17 and July 27 to 29. During those weekends, the number of seats in the Molson Ex Zone will increase from 1,000 to 2,500.
