MICROFORUM SELLS PPL MARKETING

Toronto-based Microforum is selling its strategic marketing services division PPL Marketing. Financial details of the transaction are not known. The division is being purchased by long-time PPL client John Radford, former vice-president of sales and vice-president of marketing for the Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. The sale is part of Microforum's plan to focus on its software and Internet products. PPL offers turnkey marketing communications services including strategic planning, design, creative, copywriting, contest and incentives management, special event management and telemarketing services. The sale of the division remains subject to regulatory and board approvals.
