E*TRADE CANADA PROMOTES "60 SECOND ADVANTAGE"

Toronto-based E*Trade Canada is introducing a new "60 Second Advantage" program today. The program guarantees qualifying orders for Toronto Stock Exchange stocks bought or sold by an E*Trade customer will be traded within 60 seconds or the customer will receive a rebate for the trading commissions on those orders. Stephanie Fraiberg, brand manager at E*Trade Canada, said the new program is an enhancement of the company's service that will be offered to all existing E*Trade customers as well as new customers. "The 60 Second Advantage" is being promoted with a full-page ad in today's Globe and Mail. Additional advertising support includes two 60-second and two 30-second radio spots running in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa and Montreal. Online banner ads are running on Globe, Sympatico, Excite, MSN, TSE and Smallcap Centre Web sites. Created by Toronto's Grey Canada, the ads will run until the end of the RRSP season. Fraiberg said The 60 Second Advantage program will also be featured in E*Trade's future advertising creative.
