LABATT HOSTS CROSS CANADA BUD BOWLS
By Adnews Staff
Labatt Breweries of Canada is giving Canadian NFL fans the chance to attend one of its six Cross Canada Bud Bowl Superbowl parties. Six venues in Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Toronto, Fredericton and St. John's will be designed to replicate the Raymond James Stadium in Florida where the Superbowl is taking place Jan. 28. Each venue will feature four 240-square-foot screens between 18-foot tall goal posts, 16 32-inch monitors, an interactive sound and light show and performances by NFL cheerleaders. Those attending one of the six events can also win tickets to the 2001 Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Budweiser, brewed in Canada by Labatt, has been hosting Bud Bowl events for the past two years and has been a marketing partner of the NFL for the past 15 years. "We're working hard this year to ensure we're providing thousands of local fans with authentic SuperBowl experiences from the events themselves through the Canadian broadcast," said Rob Tallis, Budweiser brand promotions manager. "The Cross Canada Bud Bowl is providing the excitement of actually being at the 'big game' in Tampa." Passes to the 2001 Cross Canada Bud Bowl events can be won in specially marked cases of Budweiser.
