ATCO WANTS CUSTOMERS TO KNOW

ATCO Gas, part of the Alberta-based ATCO Group, is launching an information campaign targeting its more than 810,000 customers throughout the province. The natural gas distributor is making customers aware of the higher bills they can expect to see this winter due to the rise in North American natural gas prices. Print ads launched yesterday in daily and weekly newspapers explaining to customers the reasons for the increased costs. The ads also offer budget tips to lower the costs through the positioning "ATCO Wants you to Know." The ongoing campaign may expand to include radio and television executions. Print advertising is being supported with a direct mail push and bill inserts. Advertising for ATCO Gas is done in-house.
