ADDENDUM: MULTIMEDIA CAMPAIGN SUPPORTS SCHICK XTREME III

Marketing efforts to support the new Xtreme III unisex razor from Schick Canada include television and print advertising, Internet promotion, in-store demonstrations, newspaper inserts and coupons. The <http:///www.schick.ca> Web site, which is giving away 100,000 samples of the new razor, is being promoted with prints ads in trade publications Canadian Grocer and Grocer Today. An insert and coupons from Valassis of Canada, based in Mississauga, Ontario, will run in newspapers across Canada this weekend. A second drop is planned for May 2001. In-store displays, demonstrations and sampling programs from Accumark Promotions Group of Toronto are also being used. Television advertising, featuring spokesperson Andre Agassi, will break in February. The spot, created by J. Walter Thompson of New York, will be adapted for the Canadian market by JWT of Toronto.
