ABC RELEASE RESULTS

The recently released results of the Audit Bureau of Circulations' newspaper report includes an initial three-month audit for The Globe and Mail, which had not been with the Bureau since the mid-80s. The Globe leads the National Post with a Monday to Friday average paid circulation figure of 229,653 and a Saturday average paid circulation figure of 312, 594 for newspapers sold at half or more of the basic price. The National Post's Monday to Friday average paid circulation figure is 215, 690 while its Saturday average paid circulation figure is 272, 182, for newspapers sold at half or more of the basic price. The Toronto Star's Monday to Friday average paid circulation figure however is far above both The Globe and Mail and National Post, leading the way at 419,616 for newspapers sold at half or more the basic price. Its Saturday figure increases to 644,701 and its Sunday figure falls to 480,510. The Toronto Sun's Monday to Friday average paid circulation figure stands at 231,588. It's Saturday figure drops to 178, 697 and its Sunday figure rises to 390, 546 for newspapers sold at half or more of the basic cost.
