By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based national newspaper The Globe and Mail has done a "complete overhaul" of its advertising rate card Web site. The site, accessible at <http://adrates.theglobeandmail.com> is open to either existing or new advertisers of the newspaper. It contains detailed ad rates for products and services of the newspaper as well as an interactive calculator which allows buyers to estimate ad placement costs. Sandy Muir, the Globe's vice president of advertising sales, said the paper recognizes that time is precious and the Web site puts as much information as possible at the fingertips of the buyers. Sales staff in offices across Canada will also continue to provide customer service. The Globe and Mail is promoting its advertising rates Web site with print ads in trade publications and with public relations. Advertising was done by BBDO Canada. Public relations are handled by Environics Communications. Both Also, Don Moen has been promoted to director of national sales. Both companies are Toronto-based.
