Elle Canada has appointed Vanessa Berkling to the position of associate editor, Rita Silvan to the position of senior editor and Monika Rola to the position of editorial assistant. Berkling joins the fashion magazine from Millionaire, where she served as editor-in-chief. Silvan was most recently features editor for Flare. Rola was previously an editorial assistant at Homemaker's.
Hill and Knowlton has made several changes within its Toronto public affairs group. Bill King has been promoted from business unit leader to national public affairs service leader in addition to his role as senior vice president. Tonie Chaltas will take over as business unit leader in Toronto in addition to her responsibilities as vice president. Additional changes include the promotion of Kathryn Hunt from senior consultant to account director and the appointment of John Cruickshank as a consultant. Cruickshank is a former communications assistant to the Minister of Agricultural and Rural Affairs in Ontario.
