TELETOON'S NEW CREATIVE LOOK ROLLS OUT ONLINE

Toronto-based Teletoon has redesigned its Web site to align with the network's new overall creative look. The site, at <http://www.teletoon.com>, relaunched earlier this month. Print and transit advertising was used earlier this fall to promote the new look and the station's tagline "It's Unreal". On-air elements are scheduled to beginning airing next year. Internet services firm Yfactor, based in Brampton, Ontario, handled the redesign. Visitors to the site can play a number of interactive games, enter contests, view the station's TV schedule and learn about community events. Hillary Firestone, vice president of network marketing and promotions, said Teletoon is planning a "flurry of activity" for its site in December and January including new sections and new games. Advertising plans may include on-air promotional spots, Firestone said, but nothing has been confirmed. Teletoon's new look was jointly developed by its on-air agency Spin Productions, its off-air agency Griffin Bacal Volny and its in-house team.
