CHAPTERS.CA PLAYS HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN

Toronto-based Chapters.ca's holiday advertising campaign is now playing on English-language radio stations across Canada. The campaign, which broke the week of November 6, will run for at least five weeks according to Al Macnevin, advertising manager for Chapters.ca. In the ads, familiar Christmas carols, including "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" and "Jingle Bells", are re-written to include lyrics such as "It Came Upon a Postal Truck" and "Dashing to the Mall." Each spot concludes with the tagline, "Chapters.ca We're open if you are." Additional elements and "a few surprises" are planned for the campaign, said Macnevin, without adding further details. Advertising for Chapters.ca is done by BBDO Canada of Toronto.
