CINEPLEX ODEON TO INTRODUCE CINEMAMARKETING.COM

Toronto-based Cineplex Odeon is launching its new online cinema service. Cinemamarketing.com is designed to provide media planners and advertising clients with Cineplex Odeon advertising information. Paul Bolté, director, national sales cinema marketing, Cineplex Odeon, explained in the past if someone called Cineplex, the company would talk with them and then courier marketing information to them. With Cinemamarketing.com, media directors and advertisers are now provided with information 24 hours a day. The online support tool will feature key essential areas of Cineplex's programs, Bolté said, including nine categories of media such as CineSpot-on-screen advertising, posters and popcorn bags. The site will be updated on a monthly basis and is free to use following a one time registration. Cineplex Odeon will host a demonstration of its new site on Nov. 9, at the second CineSpot On-Screen Commercial awards in Toronto. The CineSpot awards features commercials that have appeared on Cineplex Odeon's screens in the past two years. Boomerang Response of Toronto designed the new Web site. Public and media relations supporting the launch of the site is being handled by Davey Communications, also of Toronto.
