WASSERMAN HITS THE SPOT
By Adnews Staff
Vancouver-based restaurant chain White Spot Restaurants returned to television advertising for the first time in three years on Monday with two new 30-second commercials. The spots, part of a new campaign for the 72-year-old chain, are airing throughout British Columbia. The campaign also includes radio, print and in-restaurant materials centered around the tagline "The great taste of today's White Spot, irresistibly different." It was created by Wasserman & Partners Advertising of Vancouver. The ads attempt to communicate that the restaurant is one of a kind. White Spot has recently added new items to its menu including pasta, steaks, wraps and salads. Several of the chain's 52 locations in BC have been renovated to appeal to younger customers and families. Chiyoko Kakino, director of marketing for White Spot, said the campaign is designed to build the brand, letting consumers know that White Spot offers more than just burgers.
