DAYS INN RE-PLAYS BUSINESS TRAVEL PROMOTION

Toronto-based Days Inns - Canada is bringing its "Business Travel Never Sounded So Good!" promotion back for a second year. From September 29 through April 30, 2001, each guest who stays four nights at a Days Inn will receive a copy of the CD "The Very Best of Cat Stevens." Guests who stay nine nights receive a free night's stay, while guests who stay 12 nights receive a KOSS CD player. The promotion will be supported with a 15-second television spot running on The Weather Network and MeteoMedia as well as with print advertising. The TV spot, created by Bluemoon Productions Inc. of Toronto, shows a business traveller carrying his new CD player to his room. The camera then cuts to the man dancing on his bed in his shirt and tie and boxer shorts. The print component also features the happy traveller. Vectra Marketing Group Inc. of Richmond Hill, Ontario created the print ads, which are running in major newspapers across Canada. Media buying was handled by The Media Company of Toronto.
