PNMD SCRAMBLES FOR CEMA ACCOUNT

Montreal-based PNMD has been named agency-of-record for The Canadian Egg Marketing Agency. Ottawa-based CEMA awarded its $500,000 creative account to PNMD following a competition that included one additional agency, L'Academie Ogilvy. The incumbent on the account was Crichton Kim-Kirkland Company of Toronto. Sylvie Chapron, CEMA marketing manager, said CEMA was excited about all three concepts PNMD presented earlier this month and decided upon one of them in making its decision. CEMA's new 2001 television campaign is expected to launch on-air early January, Chapron said, and will probably include three new spots. Media buying for CEMA is handled by HYPN of Toronto.
