Strategic Objectives has expanded its staff. The Toronto-based agency recently appointed Gavin Mortimer and Tara Grant senior consultants. Mortimer joins Strategic from Variety - The Children's Charity where he worked as communication manager. Grant joins the agency from the Bloor-Yorkville Business Improvement Area where she worked as marketing and public relations co-ordinator. Strategic has also promoted three of its employees. Donna Bishop has been promoted from consultant to senior consultant. Kara LeMoine and Tim Gallant have both moved from account co-ordinator positions into the roles of consultants.
The consumer marketing practice at Cohn & Wolfe is expanding with the appointments of Stephanie Minna, Katherine Vanderploeg and Janet Harron to the role of counsellors. Minna joins Cohn & Wolfe from Faye Clack Marketing and Communications where she conducted strategic communications. Vanderploeg most recently worked as a corporate communications co-ordinator at Estee Lauder Ltd. and as a film marketing co-ordinator at Imax Corporation. Harron was most recently director of publicity for the Harbourfront International Author's Festival in addition to working as a freelancer in the publishing industry. The trio of new faces follows the recent additions of Lauren Cherry, Michelle Nagy and Elyssa Wolfson, who joined the agency as account co-ordinators, and the promotion of Robyn Adelson from account co-ordinator to account executive.
