By Adnews Staff
Looking for someone with just the right smile to sell your soap or phone service or whatever? Or maybe you're a talent agency with just the right person to do the job. Well, a Toronto company is starting up an Internet service on Nov. 29 which it says both of you can use. Casting and Media Online Inc. of Toronto says its CAMEO service will make life easier for advertising agencies, production companies and casting directors. They will be able to post casting calls and job listings for quicker response from talent agencies. They will also be able to advertise their own businesses and check out industry news. There will be an electronic mail service and discussion groups. The talent database will originally cover only Canada but plans call for development of a North America-wide service. The software running CAMEO, called FirstClass, was developed by SoftArc Inc. of Markham, Ont. CAMEO is owned by Roman and Oliver Kenkel. Roman is freelance photographer and Oliver is a corporate communications consultant with his own business.
