CO-OPERATORS AND HB GROUP INSURANCE TAP ROCHE, LOWE RMP

The Co-operators, based in Guelph, Ontario and HB Group Insurance Management Ltd., based in Mississauga, Ontario, have awarded agencies of record titles to Roche Macaulay & Partners and Lowe RMP, both of Toronto. The Co-operators and HB Group Insurance belong to The Co-operators group of companies that specialize in insurance and financial security products and investment counselling. Roche and Lowe RMP pitched for the account together in an agency review that shortlisted two additional agencies including five-year-old incumbent Impiric. The third agency was not named. Roche and Lowe RMP will be responsible for general, direct and digital advertising. Paul Mlodzik, vice president of marketing and communications, The Co-operators, said although the budgets for next year were not set, in the past the business had been worth between $5-$10 million. Increasing competition in the insurance industry were cited in deciding to launch an agency review for The Co-operators and HB Group's DirectProtect brands.
