TALENT SEARCH LETS KIDS TOUCH THE STARS

To celebrate the November 14, 2000 release of Fantasia 2000 on VHS and DVD, Toronto-based Buena Vista Home Entertainment Canada is holding a talent search. Children between the ages of five and 12 are invited to send in home videos of their special talent. One grand prize winner will be awarded a trip to Toronto to participate in the TOUCH THE STARS! Fantasia 2000 Talent Search Concert. The winner and four runners up will also be awarded a scholarship to promote their talent, a Fantasia 2000 video and a Disney Store gift certificate. Kids can enter by submitting a video of five minute or less demonstrating their talent in one or all of the areas of singing, dancing or playing a musical instrument. Rules and entry forms are available in the electronic departments of Wal-Mart stores across Canada. Buena Vista, the Canadian distributor for Walt Disney Home Video, is promoting the talent search with colour ads in national and daily newspapers. Public and media relations from Shandwick International of Toronto is supporting the talent search and video launch. Advertising was created by Onyx Marketing Group with media being handled by Initiative Media, both of Toronto.
