NATIONAL POST FALL CAMPAIGN NOW PLAYING
By Adnews Staff
The fall advertising campaign for the National Post newspaper is now playing at Famous Players theatres in the Toronto market and Cineplex Odeon theatres in the Ottawa market. The campaign, from Scott Thornley + Company of Toronto, includes a 65-second cinema commercial that "showcases the photography, language, spirit and energy of the newspaper." During the first three weeks that the spot runs in Toronto it will also recognize the 25th anniversary of the Toronto International Film Festival and the newspaper's exclusive print media sponsorship of the event. Print, out-of-home and radio advertising is also running in addition to the cinema spot. "The object of the campaign was to focus on the bold language and vivid imagery of the National Post," said Scott Thornley, president and creative director of ST+C. The agency was chosen to create the newspaper's fall campaign based on the work it did for the re-launch of Saturday Night magazine in May.
