QUICKEN.CA UP FOR THE CHALLENGE

Finance and investment Web site Quicken.ca and Toronto-based Bank of Montreal have partnered for a "Quicken Financial Challenge" trivia contest which will test entrants' fiduciary knowledge through multiple choice trivia questions. By making the contest available exclusively on its Web site the company hopes to attract "net savvy" users who will register for all the resources of the site. Advertising for the trivia challenge is running online across the Doubleclick and 24/7 ad networks in addition to the National Post Web site. The "Quicken Financial Challenge" launched July 10 and is running for eight weeks. Visitors to the Quicken.ca site will see an electronic note with a financial-related question. After registering to play, entrants will see a new question every day Monday through Saturday. For every question answered correctly, a ballot is entered for a prize draw. Random winners chosen each week get $1,000 from Quicken.ca. All contestants are eligible for the grand prize of lifetime service from the Bank of Montreal's i.connect on-line banking system. Additional prizes include Quicken software packages. Public relations for Quicken.ca are handled by Fleishman-Hillard Canada of Toronto.
