HARROD & MIRLIN BREAK-FREE IN NEW CAMPAIGN

A new national television advertising campaign from Toronto-based Harrod & Mirlin/FCB is promoting Burnbrae Farms' new liquid egg product Naturegg Break-Free. Lyn, Ontario-based Burnbrae is marketing the substance as an alternative to regular eggs containing 80% less cholesterol and lower fat. Break-Free is made from egg whites with a small amount of yolk and other additional ingredients. It is distributed in small milk-type cartons. The spot, called "Break a Carton", begins today on English-only television. The ad depicts the product as being the same as eggs. The motion of cracking an egg on the side of a pan is used, except a Naturegg carton is cracked open instead. The eight-week campaign is scheduled to run in two flights until late September.
