SUBWAY TEAMS UP WITH THE POWERPUFF GIRLS

This fall Subway Restaurants across North America will join the Cartoon Network's Powerpuff Girls in fighting the evil villains Mojo Jojo, Fuzzy Lumpkins and "Him." The Milford, Connecticut-based submarine sandwich chain has teamed up with Atlanta-based Cartoon Network in the Powerpuff Girls' first fast-food tie-in promotion. Powerpuff Girls is an animated show that follows the adventures of Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles as they save the world from evil villains. The girls are the result of Professor Utonium of Townsville, USA, who, in mixing sugar and spice and everything nice with chemical X, gave the sister super powers. In the U.S. Powerpuff Girls is seen on the Cartoon Network. In Canada, viewers watch the girls on YTV. Four themed toys from the animated series will be featured in the Subway's Kids' Pak promotion running late-August to October. The promotion is targeting kids in the 3-8 year age group and is running at over 13,000 U.S. and Canadian locations. In Canada, the Powerpuff Girls' Subway Kids Pak promotion will be supported with in-store point-of-sale materials, a freestanding toy merchandiser and sneeze guard clings.
