AGF TAPS TBWA CHIAT/DAY

Toronto-based AGF Funds Inc. has appointed TBWA Chiat/Day its new advertising agency-of-record following a review that launched mid-March. TBWA Chiat/Day of Toronto had been shortlisted for the account with The Communiqué Group, Cossette Communications Group and Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising. The incumbent on the account, Young & Rubicam of Toronto, did not participate in the review. Pat Phillips, director of communications for AGF, said the first project TBWA will work on for its new client is new spots for the upcoming RRSP season. Phillips said it is not sure if the "Eventually Everyone Retires" theme will continue to be used.
