TELUS MOBILITY MOVING WITH HIGHWOOD COMMUNICATIONS

Calgary-based Telus Mobility, the wireless division of telecommunications company Telus, has appointed Highwood Communications its new general advertising agency-of-record. Calgary-based Highwood was shortlisted for the account with Lanyon Phillips Communications, Palmer Jarvis DDB, and incumbent Ogilvy & Mather. Highwood's assignment will include brand strategy, creative development and mass media advertising to enhance the company's presence in British Columbia and Alberta as well as establish its identity in new markets as Telus Mobility grows to become a national provider. Media planning and buying, handled by Palmer Jarvis DDB and OMD of Vancouver, were not included in the review. Realm Communications Inc. of Vancouver will continue to produce brochures and printed material as well as Web site design and maintenance. Telus Mobility currently offers wireless services to customers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.
