MEDIACOM RETAINS MISSISSAUGA TRANSIT SHELTER ADVERTISING
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based outdoor advertising company Mediacom will continue its relationship with The City of Mississauga after being awarded an 18-year transit shelter advertising agreement. Mediacom president Brian McLean said the company just concluded a 15-year contract with the City for its transit shelter advertising. Mediacom's new 18-year agreement is effective July 3, 2000. In addition to Mediacom, New York-based Adshel submitted a bid for the contract. This summer, Mediacom will also introduce a new transit shelter design in Mississauga. McLean explained the new design enhances the city's streetscape and increases the visual impact of advertising copy. The new shelter design is expected to replace all of the city's existing shelters. The contract will also see the addition of over 1,000 shelters added to the city.
