MINDSHARE WORKING WITH IMG

Toronto-based MindShare Canada has won its first significant media-only account since launching in Canada earlier this year. MindShare combines the media operations of J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather and Enterprise Creative Selling into one company, in an effort to blend the media operations of London-based WPP Group plc into a single resource. Toronto-based Interactive Media Group awarded MindShare its multi-million dollar media account after informally meeting with the company. MindShare's expertise with integration across traditional media, direct media, digital media and research were cited as key factors in the IMG win. Karen Nayler, managing director of MindShare Canada, said the company will be responsible for providing total media services to IMG in both the Canadian and U.S markets. The incumbent on the account was BBDO Response of Toronto. IMG, an independent provider of "electronic companionship products," joins IBM, Kraft, Jaguar, Mattel and Kimberly-Clark on MindShare's client roster.
