CORBY SHOCKS CANADIANS
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Corby Distilleries Limited has debuted a new line of ready-to-drink beverages and shooters called Shocktales. The drinks come in four flavors: Broken Down Golf Cart, Blue Lagoon, Crantini and Zombie. "Research indicates that the consumer demand for spirits in the ready-to-drink category has shown incredible growth over the past year," said Bruce Miller, national brand manager for Corby Distilleries. "While Corby already owns a large share of the market, we want to continue to fill that demand with the introduction of Shocktales." Toronto-based brand consultancy Interbrand Tudhope created the packaging and bottle design for Shocktales, which is being supported with a "SHOCKing" public relations campaign from Cohn & Wolfe's consumer marketing practice. Shocktales are available in both ready-to-drink and ready-to-mix formats at liquor stores and bars across Canada. Additional Corby brands include Canadian Club, Kahlua, Beefeater and Wisers.
