E*TRADE CANADA WELL EQUIPPED WITH NEW AD FROM GREY CANADA

Toronto-based Grey Canada gets to the bottom of things with a new ad created for client E*Trade Canada. The print ad for the Toronto-based online broker ran in yesterday's Globe and Mail. The headline reads "Thanks to your broker you're well-equipped for the market's ups and downs." The ad depicts a man wearing nothing but shoes and socks. The man, whose back is to the camera, is on top of a pogo stick on a deserted highway. Marc Stoiber, Grey's executive creative director, said the ad sends the message that, as an E*Trade user, one can control one's own destiny. The ad is scheduled to run again in Saturday's Globe and Mail and Tuesday's National Post. A second ad is also expected to break next week. Grey Canada has been responsible for E*Trade Canada's creative, media buying and online strategies since last fall when it won the account following an agency review.
