ARRIVE ALIVE 2000 COMING TO A BEER STORE NEAR YOU

The Ontario Community Council on Impaired Driving, in partnership with The Beer Store, kicking-off the 11th annual Arrive Alive Drive Sober campaign. Beginning today, 427 Beers Stores across Ontario will distribute Arrive Alive promotional materials created in-house by the OCCID. In addition, throughout May Beer Stores will be collecting donations which will go towards 2000 Arrive Alive promotional initiatives. OCCID will also be promoting sober driving by running a series of 13 radio public service announcements across Ontario and in Beer Stores. Some of the PSAs target drivers, students and parents, while some target the general public. The PSA's were created by Toronto-based Pirate Radio on a pro-bono basis. OCCID will continue to distribute its Arrive Alive materials throughout the summer at Beer and LCBO stores, Bridgstone-Firestone locations and Esso gas stations. Additional fund-raising support will include a bottle drive on May 27 at select Beer Store locations across Ontario. Proceeds from the fund-raising drive are split between the local communities and the OCCID.
