TD CANADA TRUST DEPOSITS ADVERTISING AND MEDIA ACCOUNTS

Toronto-based TD Canada Trust has given Harrod & Mirlin/FCB its advertising agency-of-record business and retained The Media Co. for its media buying needs. Both agencies are based in Toronto. Harrod & Mirlin/FCB had been the incumbent on the Canada Trust account and won the AOR title over TBWA Chiat/Day, Gee, Jeffery & Partners and SGCI, which had all previously worked with TD. The Media Co. had also previously worked with Canada Trust before its merger with Toronto Dominion Bank. It had been up against TN Media and Media Buying Services for the account. Dominic Mercuri, TD Canada Trust's senior vice president of advertising and marketing, said the advertising budget is in the $20-$25 million range.
